Rooted Reflections

a space to pause.

Rooted Reflections began as a journaling practice and has grown into a monthly space to pause, reflect and come back to yourself. Life moves fast, and it’s easy to lose touch with ourselves along the way. Each edition is an invitation to slow down and further connect with yourself, using tools to help you navigate life with more ease, without the pressure to have it all figured out.

Rooted Reflections is for you if

You’re craving a moment of calm, figuring things out, or wanting to feel more rooted in yourself. Perhaps you’re ready to make yourself a priority, or simply in need of a reminder to pause. Wherever you’re at, know that you’re welcome here.

Rooted Reflections Edition 09 - September 2026 | Is productivity costing you time?

What if our obsession with productivity is actually a waste of time?

Often, I find myself in conversations with people about productivity. What we have to do, what we haven’t done, what we want to do. During one of those conversations, as I listened to the onset of personal judgement and disappointment from someone who hadn’t achieved everything they set out to do – a thought came to me.

Taking comfort in the subtle messages

I started the month feeling uncertain, and I’m not here, at the end of it, to say that feeling has gone away. It’s still very much present, but a comforting presence is taking over alongside it, like a light guiding me towards clarity and fulfilment.

Sitting with uncertainty

This month has left me with a feeling of uncertainty. Normally, by the time I sit down to write this newsletter, there's a clear theme – something I've processed enough to share with some level of clarity. This month, that's not where I am at.

Finding space to exhale

Something that came to my attention whilst journaling this month was how hard it can be to find genuine moments of rest. I realised that even when I’m physically resting, my mind struggles to slow down.

Choosing courage over fear

Fear is something we all carry. It takes courage to face our fears and reach a place where they no longer rule our day-to-day lives. It’s so easy to start thinking about all of the things that can go wrong.

Finding balance through the noise

Spring has finally started to make an appearance, but March brought with it an unexpected level of intensity. The constant stream of news, updates, and difficult realities has been a lot to try to digest.

How do we find the light in the dark?

February has felt like a testing month. Cold, wet and grey, with brief moments of sunshine. When the days are heavy and the skies remain overcast, it can take more effort to feel inspired and find motivation.
